Allen: What society expects of fathers

Allen discusses how fathers are under pressure to try to fix difficult situations, rather than care for emotional health.

I think the biggest thing is that, that they, they, it’s it’s brainwashed from day one when you’re born as a man: a father needs to do this, do this, do this and do this. A father fixes the plumbing, fixes the, the kitchen sink and everything so the father’s going to fix the mother and the baby. There is no focus on the emotional side of things which is huge.
